Giving is Awesome! | Columbus Family Photographer

You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography — $1400 worth, to be exact. The winning nominee will get a custom session with Andrea Roberts Photography, and my full digital package, which includes a disc and prints of every image.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $300 print credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be?

The rules:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

* The nominee must reside within 1 hour of Columbus, Ohio. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

* You must e-mail me the full story : andrearobertsphotography@gmail.com

The winner will be announced on New Years Eve, and all nominations must be recieved by December 15th — so get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries!

I know, I know- that is just me and my kids eating ice cream at Jeni’s and looking cute (at least the kids are!) I had to share because Wes was SO adorable eating his cone of Belgian  Milk Chocolate. He got more on his face than in his mouth, but trust me- he enjoyed the heck out if it! And I believe Evan had Cherry Lambic- he is a connoisseur I tell you. Actually, his favorite flavor is Black Coffee, but the last thing a 3 year old needs is cofee!  I’ll quit torturing you showing off and get back to announcing the winner….

There, all better? Good! Today is my 27th birthday, and to celebrate, I am giving one lucky blog reader the gift of Columbus’ very best ice cream. If you follow me on Twitter, or Facebook, you know that I practically live at Jeni’s I love it so much. Not only is it delicious, but it is locally owned and operated and they use organic, local ingrediants to hand-craft their ice cream. Sound delish?

All you have to do to enter is visit Jeni’s website, then leave a comment below telling me if you would pick the Signature 9 or the Seasonal 9 if you win! Tweet or post a link on Facebook or your blog, and you get an extra entry- just comment another time and let me know (scout’s honor!).

I’m torn. Seasonal 9 is seasonal, but I’m leaning Signature 9 because there’s no raspberry in it. I think I’d suck up the raspberry part & go with seasonal. mmmm, drooly.
