It is safe to say that this little beauty is adored. She is the newest addition to this adorable family, and I couldn’t have been more pleased to meet her!

I have been patiently waiting for this little one’s arrival. I photographed the rest of her family back in July, and I could hardly wait to meet her. Of course, at that point I didn’t even know she was a her! Claire’s parents waited to be surprised at her birth, though her momma had a feeling the whole time that it was a girl. Claire arrived early last Saturday, and I got to meet her when she was 7 days old. Isn’t she just gorgeous?

If there is anything that a new mother will tell you- it is that babies come out with a mind of their own. You can have the best of plans, and children quickly teach you to adapt and go with their flow. Today was actually Caleb’s due date, but he made his arrival a month early on August 11.  He had to spend some time in the NICU, and didn’t get to come home until last week.  He is my oldest newborn to date, but he did wonderfully, and I couldn’t get enough of his thick dark hair and cute little grin!

One of my favorite parts of a newborn session is getting to watch new parents interact with their little ones. Lets face it- babies don’t come with owners manuals,  and I know it is easy to feel overwhelmed during those first few days weeks.  But Jamie and Bobby are taking it all in stride. They were so layed back and natural with Caleb, and it is plain to see he knows how loved he is.

I can’t get over how tiny he looks in his Daddy’s arms. Before too long, Caleb will be as tall as his Dad- playing football with him in the backyard. No matter how big he grows though, he will always be his little boy. I know Bobby will look back on this picture and remember the day his son was born and his heart and life was changed forever.

Jamie and Bobby, thank you for the privilege of photographing your son. I appreciate you entrusting your memories to me!

Maybe it is because my baby is going to be one next month, but I was completely smitten with little Miss Hadley. When I arrived, she was in a deep, peaceful sleep, and she stayed that way for almost our entire session. Then she just needed a little time with mom, and she was back to snuggling and dreaming away.  One of the best things about my job is being able to capture those fleeting moments, so that months, even years from now, her momma can look back and remember what her perfect little lips looked like, and the way her skin was so soft and her breath so sweet.  To remember the absolute perfection that is a brand new life.

I can’t decide what I love more- his gorgeous hair or that sweet little smile? He was the perfect little model for me, and I couldn’t get enough of the cooing noises he made as he drifted off to sleep. This little man has two gorgeous older sisters, but I think it is safe to say he will be able to shine in his own right. Congratulations, Natalie- thank you for letting me photograph your beautiful son!

Is she not just the cutest little thing ever? I could eat her up she is so stinking adorable. And you should see her mom- I would not even believe she gave birth two weeks ago if I hadn’t seen her pregnant with my own two eyes! Heidi- she is just perfect- I hope these shots were worth the marathon feeding!

Meet Miss Darby and Mr. Asher, the daughter and son of Erin and Scot! They made their arrival on November 2, and I had the privelege to meet them when they were just 6 days old. They were just a dream to photograph- sleepy and curly and beautiful. Congratulations, Erin, Scot and big brother Rowan- Asher and Darby are just perfect!

Meet Wes, my own little man. He made his debut on September 16 at 6:51pm. He was 7lb 7oz and 19.6 inches and just pure perfection! I am so in love, and I am sure there will be plenty of this little face for you to see in the future!

Please join me in welcoming the adorable Miss Brynn! Brynn is the daughter of Kelly and Jeff, and made her big entrance on August 19th! Brynn made the sweetest little faces when she was sleeping. I could have watched her all day- I’m sure her mom and dad agree!
